Vintage Kauffman jumping saddle (Similar to Crosbys The Sovereign Prix de Nations) with 17 seat and is 7.5 wide (wide tree, but narrow gullet channel space near cantle) hand-stitched, potentially wool flocked, spring tree, sound tree and billets, solid steel stirrup bars, made in England, overall well-constructed with a flat seat.
Saddle does have some blemishes including a broken left stirrup leather keeper and some minor stitching repairs could be needed but not necessary. Contact for photos. Local 7-day saddle trial possible if desired with saddle trial contract and deposit.
Kauffman and Sons Saddlery was founded in NYC in 1875 and became the most popular premier tack store manufacturing and selling high-quality saddles and equipment until they closed in the mid 1990s. These are hard to come by!
