This is a rare, beautifully handcrafted 1996 Custom Endurance Saddle made by the legendary Marilyn Horstmyer of DeSoto Custom Saddlery (Etowah, TN).
This is a premium, Three-owner saddle that has been exceptionally well cared for and always stored indoors in a climate-controlled environment. Because of this, the leather remains exceptionally healthy, supple, and entirely free of the mold, dry rot, or cracking often found on older tack.
Marilyn Horstmyer was a renowned distance rider herself, and her custom-made saddles are highly sought after by serious trail and endurance riders for their exceptional close-contact feel, lightweight design, and legendary durability. Because these are no longer in regular production, finding one in this complete, original, and well-maintained condition is a true rarity
